After having been away for spring break this past week, it was sooo hard getting up early this morning. My little guy is counting down the days until summer vacation!
This is a dandelion bloom. I just love the little squiggly spirals in the middle. It puzzles me to no end why my yellow photos lose some of their vibrance and have a more green/blue hue after being downloaded into blogger. Does anyone have any ideas?
Be sure to visit Lisa's Chaos for Macro Monday. It is a fun way to start the week.
I hope you all have a great week!

ReplyDeletePretty, pesky little weeds!
ReplyDeleteLovely macro. great colour!
ReplyDeletevery pretty!
ReplyDeleteI've never looked at a dandelion quite that way. Thank you!
ReplyDeletebeautiful! we don't get spring break for 2 more weeks yet....we are all counting down the days!
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful, and you know, I never noticed the squiggly things before. Definitiely going to check them out! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe reason your yellows are different than what you see on your monitor is just due to the differences in the way your monitor "sees" the color, and the way Blogger (or any other site) "sees" the color.
I found this out early on when I realized how dark my photos looked once up on Blogger, when they looked just fine on my computer monitor. So now before uploading I just make the extra needed adjustments and then upload. In the case of your yellows, just increase the saturation/vibrance.
Hope this helps, and thank you so much for sharing this beauty today at The Creative Exchange.
Have a wonderful day.
lisa.
I don't know about the color myself either, but you sure did do the picture justice!
ReplyDeleteWonderful details and shallow DoF!
ReplyDeleteLovely dandelion macro!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I have the same problem with yellow and also with dark red... I'm afraid I don't have an answer, but I'll also try Lisa's trick. :-)

Love yellow flowers!! it may be a weed, but you made it beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteIt was hard for us as well this morning getting back into the routine! But, summer is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteOooh, nice intricacy in this shot!
ReplyDeleteHere's the solution...use Windows Live Writer. It is a way to write your posts without using Blogger. I use it for ALL of my posts. You can upload photos so much quicker! Trust me, it works much better and your pictures will look closer to the real thing. Just my two cents :-)
This is a wonderful shot!
ReplyDeleteMy dandelions aren't nearly as pretty as yours! Delightful photo!
