This is my first single HDR image; normally there are three bracketed images. I found this pretty blue treasure in my daddy's barn. I have been in, and around this barn lots of time over the past years and cannot believe that I missed this sweet, blue wooden wagon. It was built by my daddy's uncle over 60 years ago. I just love it!
Thank you to all of you who have continued to visit and comment! I love you all, and will be stopping by this week - "pinky-promise." This is what my youngest son used to say when he meant that you had better keep a promise!
Be sure to visit Barn Charm and Midweek Blues for more great photos!

This is really nice!
ReplyDeleteI just want you to pump up those old tires and haul it out of there! :)
ReplyDeleteThese HDR's are really getting my attention. Once I through my spring cleaning at home (which is taking almost as long as spring getting here) I'm going to start looking into this stuff. Really beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteNice peek inside!
ReplyDeleteI cracked up when I read your first sentences! Just beautiful processing...that is my favorite shade of blue, and your HDR is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteNice job Kim, single images work well when you do not want to drag a tripod with you.
ReplyDeleteI want that pretty blue wagon :)
ReplyDeleteI love the finish application on this shot...I would love to learn how to do it!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a beauty, we rarely get to see inside these old places, but you have the inside track... fantastic HDR, too! =0
ReplyDeleteI know you're busy, so thanks so much for taking the time to join in! =)
Your treatment of this really caught my eye. I would say you hand painted it.
ReplyDeleteIf ever I am not busy I will have to learn some of your techniques.
What a wonderful Photo. The processing looks wonderful.. I just love that blue wagon.. Very cool. Thanks for sharing it with us..
ReplyDeleteHugs, Linda
What can I say; I just love blue! The old wagon is pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteThis looks fantastic! Gorgeous processing!!
ReplyDeleteIt's super just as it is - but I think it would be lovely with a BUNCH of flowers planted in it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic work on this one!

ReplyDeleteHi SS. This is a nice find and looks really nice using the HDR. I'm wondering if you bought the new book or are using the free version (1st chapter of the book, it says here).
ReplyDeleteYour find is a trailer, not a wagon. Wagons have four wheels, trailers have two. Dad made him one of those out of lumber and parts from an old 1930's flooded car.
This is the trailer that he would hitch to a two wheeled implement puller hitched to two horses. In blizzard days he would take us to school in that. Us kids would be hunkered down under a tarpoleon [Southern for tarp (tarpaulin)] covering the trailer. Dad would be out of from the waist up to be able to drive the horses.
My cousin's son now has that trailer and he pulls it with a garden tractor. Ours was a bit shorter than yours and painted black.
On the farm we used it to haul fresh potatoes we had dug, watermelon from the garden, grain for the hogs, etc. Dad and Mom also hitched it behind the corn wagon the horses pulled through the field as they shucked corn. The trailer whould be 'base of operations' for my younger sister and I who of course didn't have a paid baby sitter.
..
The blue wagon is priceless and really stands out with all the varieties of browns!
ReplyDeleteCool version of HDR but the old wagon is the real winner.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your photos so I sure hope the obsession continues! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is so much fun watching you have fun with this!! :-)
ReplyDeleteJust coming back to say than you so much for sharing this at The Creative Exchange this week. You did such a good job on this one!
Have a fantastic weekend!
