Funny Photo - Macro Monday

I have been so slack  busy the past few weeks that I have missed out on Macro Monday hosted by Lisa each Monday.   It is always such a fun way for me to start the week.   Look at this wildflower/weed that I found in my neighbor's yard (yep - Marvin and Lynda's again!) after the rain this morning.

We are not sure what the correct name for it is, but in this particular shot it looks like an alien or some sort of cartoon-ish character.  It really cracks me up!

This second photo is my interpretation of it's various body parts.   Gotta love the humor found in nature!

Reflection in a Raindrop...

I was so focused on catching the "raindrop" from the daisy petal that I did not notice the "reflection" in the raindrop until I pulled it up on my computer.   Funny how life can be that way - we are so focused on certain aspects of life that we miss the beautiful details.

This is a great time of year for reflection - looking at our lives and being thankful for all that we have been given and remembering those who are less fortunate; as well as assessing where "we" are and where "we" want to be and what it will take to get there!
