I snapped this shot at the fair last week. The skies were incredibly clear - but I could not get the "vivid blue" that I was after.
I added a texture from Shadowhouse Creations and am quite pleased with the outcome, considering I am new to using textures and am not sure how to blend correctly.
Be sure to visit the Dusty Cellar for other great midweek blues!
Happy Wednesday!

Cool!
ReplyDeleteThat looks awesome! They texture looks great.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE this shot.
ReplyDeleteI think the vivid colors look delightful, just like a painting or a poster. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteA colourful shot of features at the fair!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neato effect!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo. You did a great job with textures. I think you don't have to worry about "blending correctly." The rules are your own, whatever looks right to you. That the fun of it! I think the texture makes a big difference. Even though the sky is a beautiful blue, it would appear flat and boring without the texture. It somes alive. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNeat shot, I like the colors you can get at a fair.
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunning shot. Love the texture you added, it looks like a post card! I need to learn how to do this!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great! Kind of like a postcard! Have you tried using any of Pioneer Womans actions? She has a great Boost action that I've used quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteI love your shot!!! The texture is awesome. I have never used texture. I need to learn how.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture! Makes me want to go to the fair and eat cotton candy.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Pam
Thanks - it was a beautiful day and I am happy with the way it turned out. I ran PW boost and adjusted it in Topaz before applying the texture.
ReplyDelete@Rochelle - MCP actions has a free texture applicator and it makes it much easier, for me at least.
@Pam - I had a big ole' corndog! :)
I love the perspective of this shot!
ReplyDeleteI like it! It reminds me of an older Saturday Evening Post (is this too old for your times?) cover.
ReplyDeleteFerris Wheels and blue skyies are alway a good combo. I think you saw mine a few weeks ago for MW. It was also a 'hit.'
Happy MW Blues!
