"Old Blue" is back. I went home this past weekend and daddy brought him out from underneath the shed. This is a 1971 F100 Ford pickup truck.
He has seen better days, but like the Energizer Bunny and with good maintenance, he keeps on going! I did not texture this photo and the lighting was better - so here you have the true Old Blue.

Happy Wednesday!

Oh, here he is, the good old Blue and True one! Thank you for posting the whole view -it probably is a truck that never quits!
ReplyDeletefantastic chippiness in this old fella.
ReplyDeleteit reminds me of my husbands old truck that he had when we were dating...
big red.
many good memories in these old friends.
:)
I still love old blue!
ReplyDeleteBoy, does this shot show personality! think it turned out perfectly....certainly appeals to me. If a truck could talk, I bet this one would have some great stories to tell. We have a ’92 big old Ford truck we call Big Blue. Out here in the country we could not do without him. Thanks for your supportive comments about my 2 daily photo shots. Please stop back by for a follow-up visit.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful old ute! A trooper! And still holding pride of place in the family home!
ReplyDeleteNow THAT is a farm truck and a half! Oh, the stories it could tell....
ReplyDeleteWhen I met the hubby he had a 67' Ford F150 short bed that was red and I learned to drive a standard in that truck. We sure miss it alot. We had some great times in that truck. Drove from Utah to New York when he got out of the service back in 85!
ReplyDeletethat's some delightful nostalgia : )
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine old friend. Still going strong!
ReplyDeleteBefore I read your post I did think you added texture to Old Blue. How cool is that!
ReplyDeleteI loved Old Blue peeking out of the shed and I love him in full view

ReplyDeleteHow cool! And such a beautiful blue!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot of old blue. He's a true oldie but goodie...
ReplyDeleteThat's a good name, Old Blue!
ReplyDeleteLoving this, and the color makes it even more special!
ReplyDeleteThis truck needs to belong to a very deserving, hardworking high school kid!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool shot! I'm glad you explained that it's not textured because I thought at first glance it was!
ReplyDeleteMy dad had an old very similar, maybe a 1973 or 1974. That's quite remarkable that it still actually starts.
He looks a whole lot like the truck my dad keeps around to do yard stuff. :0)
ReplyDeleteIt really is amazing that he keeps on going. The old truck and my dad were made for each other!
