This pretty blue bird was sitting in a window display inside of Tiffany's in New York City. My son wanted to get his girlfriend something special for Christmas. I wish I had snapped more pics while we were in the store, but my son gave me that "please don't embarass me by taking tons of pictures" look.
The jewelry was absolutely beautiful, but it was very apparent that we were on the
very expensive wrong floor of the 5 story building. He did find a very pretty silver necklace with an oval-shaped pendant. She was absolutely thrilled with it, and who wouldn't be with something from Tiffany's?
Be sure to visit
here for more great mid week blues!

What a beautiful shot. And I do love things that come in little blue boxes ;)
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot!
ReplyDeleteI love this shot! Tiffany's is definitely a must when visiting NYC!
ReplyDeletewhat a nice boy to buy something nice for his girlfriend! I love this shot, who can't resist Tiffany's.
ReplyDeleteI know that look all too well :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely shot!
Lovely photo! Hmmm. Why don't you buy your son an inexpensive camera, then maybe he'll understand. :))
ReplyDeleteHard to believe that I have lived in the state of New York and been to the city a few times, but only went to the opra once and the hubby drove us in at night once and that has been the only time I have really been in. I keep telling him I want to go in to go to museums etc. Great shot of the blue bird.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot...I know the look your talking about...thats ok...what goes around comes around! I bet his girlfriend was in shock to recieve something from Tiffany's!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shot. I would love to just wander around Tiffany's, let alone actually buy something there!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute pic of the bluebird:) I like EG Wow's suggestion! Then he can also take pics of his girlfriend (good reason, isn't it?:) )
ReplyDeleteTiffany's did good with their window! I like visiting them and did buy a less expensive silver ring for Mrs. Jim. She has bought some more items.
ReplyDeleteWe have a new Tiffany's in our Woodlands which is a town in itself sitting between us and Houston. Houston has atleast one also.
I hope you guys enjoyed your visit in NYC. It is very pretty around Christmas time.
Happy New Years! Happy MidWeek Blues! :)

ReplyDeletemy Midweek Blues
Wonderful capture Kim. My kids grew up seeing me with a camera in hand. They would always hide....lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable little arrangement. And things from Tiffany's come in blue boxes too!
ReplyDeleteHeck, anything in that pretty blue box is special. :c) Love this little bluebird... won't ask how much they wanted for that!
ReplyDeletesounds fun...i've NEVER been to new york.
ReplyDeleteit must be amazing...all the endless possibilities for shopping and eating.

It was a nice experience and his girlfriend was thrilled. He had worked this summer as an intern for an engineering group and had saved his money. He's a great young man! And, he does have a camera and loves to take pics - he just didn't think it was appropriate to do so inside of the store. Whatever!! :)
ReplyDeleteOH..I know that "look". Kids get it down pat when they turn into teenagers and mom picks up a camera. Now my son has his own home and his own man cave and my camera isn't allowed in there either!
ReplyDeleteMy camera is an appendage- and my husband and adult children know they cannot look, do or say anything about my need to photograph. Everything looks so fresh when you travel. I tell my husband especially - you don't have to buy me a thing- just let me shoot! Great image!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Great tones, great light, great 3-D effect on the limb and bird! Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! One of our brides gave all of her girls Key necklaces from Tiffany's, very cool! I imagine they might stop you shooting photos inside the store but I'm glad you got the bluebird! Beautiful!!
ReplyDeletehehehe! cute story & wow Tiffany's in NY, fancy!
