While this does not necessarily meet the definition of a barn, it was used to house chickens and other small farm animals at one time.
Although it has seen better days, I love the character of this patched up little pen. Looks like a great spot for hide and seek!
For more great barns be sure to visit Tricia. The sky was so clear and blue that particular day and this photo will also be my submission to Midweek Blues.
As rundown as it look, I bet some chickens would love to call it home:)
ReplyDeleteI really like the treatments you give your photos. Very rustic feel.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful structure, and I am loving all the little patches! Wonderful shot!
ReplyDeleteCharacter is definitely a great word to describe this!! Very rustic. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe older the more charm...great shot...very rustic.
ReplyDeleteI agree...although I also think about the potential for getting scraped on that old corrugated metal. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHide & seek, yes yes! =) It's great & has charm... nice fit for Barn Charm! =)
ReplyDeleteSheet metal is the farmer's duct tape!
ReplyDeleteI just love seeing these old structures.. It always makes me wonder what it look like when it was new... What a great shot...
ReplyDeleteHugs, Linda

ReplyDeleteMidweek Blues
Good morning from Denmark :-)
ReplyDeleteHow is it beautiful in its downfall.
it does look very interesting, lovely textures and tones.
ReplyDeleteJust imagine how many eggs might have been collected there!
ReplyDeleteHide and Seek or just a great old structure to explore in! Fun!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your blue sky. I miss seeing blue skies! And today we are all covered in ice...everything everywhere is ICE!
ReplyDeleteThe pen has a lot of character too.
It has tons of character!
ReplyDeleteI love old structures like this. They always make me wonder what they have seen over the years.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and detail. I often wonder why old things are often to best subjects for photography???
ReplyDeleteFells very calm in your photo!
ReplyDeleteThis pen made me smile. It reminds me of a collage. It also looks very green, nothing is wasted, but reused. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's definitely a barn to me! And so painterly;)
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I think a chicken coop classifies as a barn even if they are usually small. Some are actually quite big and the style is different than your typical barn. It fits in Barn Charm, at any rate!
