Macro Monday

I think this is going to be a Morning Glory bud, but I am not sure.  Can you tell me if Morning Glory vines are wild?  I seem to come across them in the most unexpected places.




It looks like an octopus to me....!  Check out other great macro shots over at Lisa's Chaos.

    and yes....morning glories do show up anywhere and everywhere.
    they are a fun surprise though.

    That looks like a little alien plant - amazing little thing, and a great shot.
    Morning Glory are, I believe, closely related to bindweed so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they grow wild.

    That's an awesome shot! Perhaps you could get another once it blooms to go with this one. Morning glories can be wild or domesticated. The wild ones seem to have smaller blooms, and the ones you plant have big blooms. Both are beautiful.

    This is a fantastic shot, but I'm not sure it's a morning glory. I have also seen morning glories in places you would not expect to see them. Whatever this is, your capture of it is fantastic!!

    So cool looking...It doesn't look like any of the morning glories I have growing in my garden! Very unique flower...so cool! If you send me a photo of the leaf I may be able to identify it for you. Great shots!

    Wow, that's fabulous! I have wild morning glories here but my leaves look a little different. It almost reminds me of the passion flowers that my mom has wild in her yard in North Carolina. What ever it is, it sure is purdy! :-)

    Thanks everyone! From what I can tell it is some sort/variety of a morning glory. I looked today and it now has a spiraling bud.

    Great shot! Morning glories are considered a noxious weed here in NZ because it grows so darn fast!

    Those leaves just don't look like morning glory leaves.
