Sepia Saturday - Country Dirt Road

This is my neice (driving) and son (riding) on my great-grandfather's Farmall tractor.   It is also the photo seen on my header to this blog.

I wonder what they were talking about....  It amazes me that my daddy was able to teach my neice (age 10 at the time) to drive it and shift the gears.   She is a Southern Girl through and through!  I love this pic - it is one of my all-time favorites and certainly is "home" to me.  I love that dirt road!

Be sure to visit Saturday Sepia for more great photos!

Happy Saturday!

xoxo,
SouthernSass

  7. I've always loved this photo...it's been a long time since I've seen tractors on the road. Since I moved to the city, it's a rare thing but on the way to our house, I'll occasionally see them.

  8. I love this photo too. :) How neat that the tractor is still around and in the family. Farm kids are an amazing group. :) I always loved spending time with my cousins on the farm.

  11. I noticed this photo is your blog header right away. Great shot of the road and their journey. Our son learned to drive on a tractor in CA from an adopted grandfather.
