We visited Washington, DC this past summer and Arlington Cemetary was a "must visit" for us. I cannot describe my feelings as I looked out over the sea of headstones.
I am so thankful to all who have served, and continue to serve - those who put their lives on the line EVERY day for us.
And, so many brave men and women have paid the ultimate price. Let us never forget that.
God bless the USA and all of our brave men and women who serve this great Country! Thank you!
Great photos...this is a beautiful cementary. Did you watch the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier??? Very impressive and so touching.

ReplyDeleteWonderful tribute. I am speechless every time we go to Arlington. So many, and so many of them taken so young.
ReplyDeleteDamn straight, Belle. God bless 'em all. Your photos say it all; here are so many dads, brothers and husbands who lost their young lives for this country. Hallowed grounds, to be sure. Moreover, this depicts just one section of many similar military cemeteries in this country and abroad. It always boggles my mind to see all those headstones; it almost takes your breath away. God bless all their families, too. On this day we should allow the enormity of their sacrifice to touch our hearts. This really brings it home. Thanks.
